About Us
From Humble Beginnings to Jet Boat Excellence
Like many great businesses in New Zealand, Jettec began in a small shed in Rangiora, Canterbury. The story starts with Adam Wilton, the owner, who spent 10 years honing his craft as an aluminium jet boat builder at Kwikkraft Marine in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty.
Driven by a passion for jet boating, Adam moved south to follow his dream of exploring the South Island’s rugged rivers. “I wanted to create something different,” he says, and that drive for innovation led to the birth of Jettec. From the start his vision was clear, bring fresh ideas, improve processes, and ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
Now, 14 years later, Jettec has built over 150 custom jet boats. With a purpose-built workshop in Kaiapoi and a team of 5 skilled craftsmen, the company continues to push the boundaries of jet boat design. Equipped with advanced tools like in-house CNC router cutter, plate rolls, top of the line Fronius pulse welders, Guillotine and a large press brake, Jettec’s attention to detail and commitment to safety has earned them a loyal following.
From first-time jet boaters to seasoned enthusiasts looking for something special, Jettec is proud to offer a product backed by quality, innovation, and customer-first service.
If you’re ready to experience the Jettec difference, whether it’s your first boat or your next upgrade, drop by and have a chat with the team. Let’s make your dream jet boat a reality.
Customer Reviews
“I couldn’t be happier with my Jettec Pioneer 480, I wouldn’t be the easiest customer to please and I’m sure behind the scenes Adam and his team must have been pulling there hair out with my endless design request’s and questions, but the finished result is awesome. The Pioneer is not a typical design and everyone the ever sees it or comes for a rides is amazed by its practicality, smooth ride and quality of workmanship. Thanks for putting it all together and making me very happy Jettec owner and customer for life.”
